PaWS on the Pavement
Arch Bark kicks off at 10:30 a.m. and check-in begins at 10:00 a.m. with Paws on the Pavement, a 1-mile fun walk that people can participate in with their dogs while exploring the great new features of the park. Registration is now officially open! Register below to participate in this free event, with the first 1,000 registrants receiving a complimentary dog bowl and Arch Bark drawstring bag!
Agility Course & k-9 Demonstration
The on-site agility course will challenge dogs to navigate through cones, walk across a see-saw, run through a tunnel and complete a series of three jumps.
Learn from the finest at Arch Bark. K-9s from the St. Charles Police Department will demonstrate the unique skills and discipline of workaday police dogs.
Dogs will enjoy a splash with the exciting sport of dock diving. Professional trainers will assist your dog jumping into a pool of refreshing water - sponsored by Eukanuba. Owners can cheer them on from dry land!
Creating fun memories is simple with the Arch Bark photo opportunity. A photographer will be on-site to take pictures of pets and owners!
Breeds of St. Louis
Breeds of St. Louis gives dog lovers the unique opportunity to meet and learn about each breed’s country of origin, historical purpose, and attributes as a family pet, all while learning about responsible dog ownership and which breeds may be right for them. Jason Taylor, American Kennel Club Assistant Show Chairman and National PRO Sales Director for Royal Canin, will reveal the top breeds in St. Louis and explain what makes them unique.
Arch Bark presents “Bark Talks,” an opportunity to hear from experts on topics related to pet health and well-being. Danielle Smith of Pretty Extraordinary, will share insights on how to prepare your home for a puppy or dog and integrate your new pet into the family. The National Park Service will present the Bark Ranger program, which encourages respectful enjoyment of national parks by dogs and people. Canine Companions for Independence, an organization that trains and provides assistance dogs, will share stories about working with service men and women.

first Aid Station
A first aid tent provided by Arch Bark will be available, should pets require medical assistance while attending the event.
Through out Arch Bark, watering stations will be available to keep four-legged friends hydrated and cool.
Local St. Louis Food Trucks will be located nearby, having food available for purchase.
There will be live music performed from 11am to 2pm, presented by Dance Floor Riot.
Bark Ranger is a community outreach project for teaching better pet-policy in national parks. The Gateway Arch, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, will debut its Bark Ranger program at Arch Bark. Qualifying dogs and owners will receive an Arch Bark dog bandana and badge! To join the Bark Ranger program, dogs and owners must learn how to hike safely with a pet in a park and promise to follow the rules of B.A.R.K. - Bag your waste, Always wear a leash, Respect wildlife, and Know where you can go.

Arch Bark is a free and fun public event. All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 ft. Visitors are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Many benches are available. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from vendors on site. Outside food or beverages are allowed. Glass containers are prohibited. Please use recycling bins on site. Soliciting is prohibited.
